The four star hotel located right in the historical city centre just near to Prague Castle, on the "Royal Route" HistoryAn ancient burgher house is situated in the historical centre of the city just near to the main entrance to Prague Castle. The first written records of the house are from the 15th century. Basement rooms are from the Gothic period, while Renaissance style is manifested in the painted beam ceilings and the entrance portal is the result of the Baroque reconstruction. Later adaptations brought new architectural elements that are in harmony with the classical style. The last reconstruction fully preserved the historical character of the building. Particularly unique about the house is its facade, which is connected with the famous 17th century altar painter Peter Brandl, who was born and lived in the house. Today Due to the overall reconstruction in 1994-95 the hotel can now offer the following historical facility: Restaurant beneath Renaissance ceilings on the ground floor; night bar and wine restaurant on the basement floors I and II beneath Gothic vaults and hotel rooms on the higher floors that are of significant historic look that is emphasized also by original period furniture. Hotel rooms are, of course, equipped by modern facility too. ;){kind=small}
