Hotel MetamorphisHistory
The first written notes of this location date from the 9 century. The hotel is situated in the original walled area called Ungelt-Tyn Yard. At that time there stood three houses here one of them called the Blue House now hotel Metamorphis with custom-house in their neighborhood. In the 12 century a lively trading flourished here ensuring economic prosperity of this important European trade intersection. After a great fire in 1689 an outstanding architect P.I.Bayer removed all the consequences of the fire and gave the Tyn Yard its present appearance.



Today
Hotel rooms are exposed into the original historical building. You can find here unique rooms with original beams from the end of the 15 century, rooms with late gothic vaults as well as rooms in the 16 century used by the former owner as the family chapel. One of the most beautiful rooms is a spacious apartment with an original and functioning Dutch stove.

 Hotel Metamorphis Double Double rooms with a bathroom, marriage and separate beds also used as single rooms. While some rooms can be connected with the door we can recommend them for business proceedings or for families with growing up children. A perceptive visitor will surely be delighted by the quantity of live greenery or the original paintings by the contemporary Czech artist Miloslav Holec.

 Hotel Metamorphis Suite If your are planning to stay longer, we would recommend suite no. 24 which is the largest and has a completely furnished kitchen. The room is ornamented with the original tiled stove.

 Hotel Metamorphis Bathroom All the rooms have bathrooms and lavatories (bathroom with both a bath-tub or a shower and shower and a bath-tub and bidet), satellite TV set, telephone with direct connection. Vast majority of the rooms have mini bar and are air-conditioned.
