Four-star hotel in the historic town centre at the "Royal Route" few steps from the Charles Bridge. HistoryThe first written notes of this location date from the 9 century. The hotel is situated in the original walled area called Ungelt-Tyn Yard. At that time there stood three houses here one of them called the Blue House now hotel Metamorphis with custom-house in their neighbourhood. In the 12 century a lively trading flourished here ensuring economic prosperity of this important European trade intersection. After a great fire in 1689 an outstanding architect P.I.Bayer removed all the consequences of the fire and gave the Tyn Yard its present appearance. Today "The Bishop's House" building that keeps the name from historical origin, although the today appearance comes from 1843 when the reconstruction has been done. Complete reconstruction of the building was finished in 1999. Behind the Empire facade you can find both comfort and genuine remnants of the past. 
LocationThe Bishop's House is situated in the centre of the Prague Municipal Historical Conservation area - under the Prague Castle in the Lesser Town, just few steps from the Charles Bridge, but still in very calm place.
